At least six traffic offenders have been convicted by a mobile court in Lagos as part of ongoing efforts to enforce road safety and restore order across the state.
The offenders were arraigned on Tuesday, during a routine enforcement exercise carried out by officials of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority in collaboration with other relevant agencies.
The operation targeted motorists who violated traffic laws, including one-way driving, obstruction, and illegal parking.
According to officials, “the mobile court, which sat at designated locations within the state, found the offenders guilty after due legal proceedings and handed down immediate penalties in line with existing traffic regulations”.
Authorities stressed that the exercise is part of a broader strategy to curb indiscipline on Lagos roads and ensure the safety of all road users.
They also warned motorists to comply with traffic rules, noting that defaulters would continue to face prosecution.
The state government emphasised its commitment to maintaining sanity on the roads, urging residents to cooperate with traffic enforcement officers to avoid sanctions.
