Former media aide to the late ex-President Muhammadu Buhari, Bashir Ahmad, has dismissed reports of former First Lady, Aisha’s rumoured marriage to ex-Minister of Communications, Isa Pantami.
Ahmad described the claim of the former First Lady getting married to one of her late husband’s trusted ministers as a lie.
An image had surfaced on social media claiming that Pantami will marry Mrs Buhari.
Dismissing the invitation card, Ahmad posted on Facebook: “This is not a story that should be stopped trying to deny it, because any sensible person will not take it seriously.
“Except since some people still spread this rumor, it’s necessary to tell the truth.
“The news that some people are sharing that Hajiya Aisha Buhari has agreed to marry Sheikh Isa Ali Pantami is a lie. Not even a real drug in it at all.”
This comes less than one year after the former president took his last breath on earth.
Buhari who died on July 13, 2025 in London Clinic was flown back to Nigeria and buried in Daura, Katsina State in full military honour.
