Prince Isaac Owolabi Fayose, the younger brother of former Ekiti State Governor Ayo Fayose, has withdrawn his lawsuit against Mr. Lere Olayinka, Senior Special Adviser to the FCT minister on Media and Communication, at the High Court of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja.
The notice of withdrawal, dated November 4, 2025, was filed before the Abuja Judicial Division sitting at Gudu.
The case, with suit number FCT/HC/CV/GAR/157/2025, was brought under Order 23 (1) of the court rules.
In the document signed by his legal counsel, Nzedebe Chinoso Paul and others from C-P Nzedebe & Co, Prince Fayose informed the court of his decision to discontinue the matter.
“Take notice that the claimant/applicant hereby discontinues this matter against the defendant pending before this court,” the notice stated.
The respondent in the case, Mr. Lere Olayinka, served as media aide to former Governor Fayose during his administration in Ekiti State.
The notice of withdrawal has been served on the respondent through the Office of the Honourable Minister, FCT, as indicated in the court document.
The reasons for the withdrawal were not stated in the notice.
