Senator Orji Uzor Kalu has condemned the abduction of the Deputy Speaker of the Kebbi State House of Assembly, Hon. Samaila Bambu, describing the incident as another indication of the worsening security situation in the country.

Daily Post recalls that Bambu was abducted from his hometown in Bagudo Local Government Area on Friday evening, shortly after he observed his evening prayers.

Reacting in a statement on Saturday, Kalu said the development underscored the urgent need for coordinated efforts by all tiers of government to tackle insecurity.

“This incident in Kebbi once again shows that insecurity has become a nationwide problem that must be confronted without politics or bias,” Kalu said.

He urged the Federal Government to intensify its counter-insurgency operations and adopt more proactive measures to protect citizens across the country.

Security agencies have since launched a manhunt for the suspects, while residents have been urged to remain calm and cooperate with investigators.
