A former governorship aspirant in Delta State, Fidelis Oditah, has frowned at the bowing out of Prof Mahmoud Yakubu as Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, without explaining to Nigerians the glitches that prevented election results’ transmission in the 2023 presidential election.
Oditah made this statement on Wednesday when he featured in an interview programme on Arise Television.
This comes 48 hours after Prof Mahmoud Yakubu bowed out as chairman of INEC and handed over to May Agbamuche as the Acting National Chairman of the Commission
“It is regrettable that Yakubu was allowed to go without telling Nigerians the glitches that prevented election results transmission in the 2023 presidential election.
“He simply said there were glitches, and till today, he has left without telling us what these glitches were. He obviously felt unaccountable to anyone,” Oditah lamented.
