Famous Afrobeat star, Burna Boy, has stated that the late Afrobeat founder, Fela Anikulapo Kuti, is the only singer greater than him.

This came amid the ongoing fight between Wizkid and Fela’s last born, Seun Kuti.

DAILY POST reports that the duo engaged in a heated exchange on Tuesday after Wizkid’s fans compared him to the late Fela.

Reacting to the development, Seun Kuti who seems not to be comfortable with Wizkid’s comparison to his father, attacked Wizkid.

Following the escalation, debate about Fela’s legacy and influence divided Nigerians on social media, including celebrities, with some condemning Wizkid for allegedly disrespecting the late Afrobeat legend, while many blamed Seun for Wizkid’s reactions.

However, speaking in a video shared on Instagram by Tunde Ednut on Saturday evening, Burna Boy said “Fela is the king. He is the only one greater than me.”

Michelle Mukoro, widely known as influencer King Mitchy, is alive, as her management has withdrawn an earlier announcement claiming she had died.

According to her management in a new post, the influencer is okay.

The post reads “Michelle is okay now.”

DAILY POST recalls that the controversy erupted amid a heated social media clash between Mitchy and activist, VeryDarkMan over allegations surrounding her charitable works.

Mitchy had recently stated that she renovated a school within six days and challenged VeryDarkMan regarding his management of public donations since 2025.

Tensions escalated further when VeryDarkMan alleged that Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Tinubu, was funding Mitchy’s charitable efforts.

The dispute reportedly resulted in the loss of Mitchy’s business Instagram account.

In a disturbing live video, the influencer was seen consuming a substance believed to be a bleach product known as “hypo”.

Her management had earlier announced that she died at Prime Care Hospital in Abuja, stating that medical efforts to resuscitate her were unsuccessful and urging the public to respect her family’s privacy.

However, Prime Care Hospital refuted the claim, maintaining that Mitchy was never admitted to their facility and warning that legal action would be taken against individuals circulating false information.

King Mitchy’s management makes U-turn after death announcement

Popular Nigerian reality star and comedian, DeeOne, has called on the Nigeria government to investigate financial management of all Non-Governmental Organizations, NGOs in the country.

DeeOne made the call in a video on his Instagram page on Wednesday while calling the attention of the government to the unlawful activities of some of the NGOs.

He further disclosed that some of the non-governmental organizations are now being used to fund terrorism, kidnapping, trafficking and other atrocities

“Federal government of Nigeria, please investigate all the NGOs accounts in the country. A lot of them are being used to sponsor terrorism, for kidnappers, child trafficking sponsorship, a lot of them are being used for human harvesting sponsorship.

“Please do a thorough investigation on all these NGO accounts. In Nigeria today, if somebody should rescue somebody, the next thing the people will open an NGO, and the next thing they become a multi millionaire. We’re not saying you should not make money, but it has to be legit not at the expense of people’s lives,” he said.
