Benue State Governor Hyacinth Alia has declared that he will occupy the governorship seat for six more years.
The governor made the declaration while addressing supporters as captured in a video clip shared on Facebook on Wednesday by his social media aide, Asorta James.
The governor also revealed how a citizen believed to be of the Tiv extraction sent him a letter, urging him to forge ahead.
He said, “Someone sent a letter to me and it was just a one-liner letter and I believe it is my Tiv brother.
“The person said “Dear Levelend Father”, you know, we the Tivs, there is no much distinction between L and R sounds but whichever one you call, the listener must understand.
“The person said “Dear Levelend Father, ahead, ahead, ahead” and then I wrote back and wrote Amen six times for the six years I’m left with in this government.”
This is coming amid plot by opposition figures to sack Alia from office via the 2027 election.
