US President Donald Trump praised Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu during his historic address to the Knesset on Monday, commending his “great courage and patriotism” and saying their partnership “did so much to make this day possible.”

As lawmakers broke into applause, Trump invited Netanyahu to stand, turning to him with a grin.

“And he’s not easy, I wanna tell you,” Trump quipped. “He’s not the easiest guy to deal with. But that’s what makes him great.”

“Thank you very much, Bibi. Great job,” he added, drawing laughter and cheers from the plenum.

Trump also extended his gratitude to the Arab and Muslim nations that helped pressure Hamas to release the remaining hostages, calling the achievement “an incredible triumph for Israel to have all these nations working together as partners in peace.”

“This will be remembered as the moment that everything began to change,” Trump said. “It will be the golden age of Israel, and the golden age of the Middle East.”

The remarks came as part of Trump’s visit to Israel following the US-brokered ceasefire deal that ended two years of war with Hamas and led to the release of all Israeli hostages.
