The government will today, Tuesday, November 11, release the findings of the investigative report into the August 6 helicopter crash involving a Ghana Air Force aircraft.

This follows the submission of the final report to President John Dramani Mahama by the Acting Minister for Defence, Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson, who led the committee that conducted the inquiry.

The presentation took place on Monday at a meeting of the National Security Council, where the committee briefed the President and senior security officials on the details of the investigation.

The August 6 crash prompted the immediate formation of the investigative committee to determine the factors that led to the incident and to propose measures to prevent a recurrence.

The release of the report later today is expected to shed light on the committee’s findings and recommendations, offering the public and stakeholders a clearer understanding of what transpired.
