Euro 2024: Lewandowski Equals Henry, Van Nistelrooy’s European Championship Feat

Robert Lewandowski was on target for Poland who held France to a 1-1 draw in their final Group D Euro 2024 game on Tuesday.

Kylian Mbappe put France 1-0 ahead in the 56th minute from the penalty spot for his first-ever European Championship goal.

But with 11 minutes left to play Lewandowski drew Poland level with also from the penalty spot.

Lewandowski has now taken his goals tally in European Championships to six.

This means he has the same amount of European Championship goals as Thierry Henry, Wayne Rooney, Ruud van Nistelrooy and Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

The draw with France earned Poland their first point in this year’s edition as they finish bottom.
