EPL: Paul Merson predicts Everton vs Chelsea, Bournemouth against Man Utd, others

Former Arsenal star, Paul Merson, has predicted the Premier League matches taking place on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, respectively.
Bournemouth will host Manchester United on Friday night at home, while Brighton will clash with Liverpool on Saturday.
Everton will take on Chelsea at Goodison Park, and Aston Villa will tackle West Ham United at Villa Park.
Arsenal and Manchester City will not play in the Premier League as their matches have been postponed because both teams will clash in the Carabao Cup final on Sunday at Wembley Stadium.
Stating his prediction, Merson told Sportskeeda that Bournemouth will play a 2-2 draw with Manchester United.
However, Merson’s other predictions include:

Fulham 3-0 Burnley
Everton 1-1 Chelsea
Leeds United 1-1 Brentford

Osun United head coach, Akinade Onigbinde, says his team will not give up on their push for promotion this season.

The Omoluabi giants defeated Conference B leader Akwa United 1-0 in a keenly contested matchday 13 encounter in Osogbo on Saturday.

Osun United are on a three-game unbeaten run in the Nigeria National League,NNL.

Onigbinde commended his players for their resilience in the victory.

“it’s not over until it’s over, we vowed to continue fighting for glory.” Onigbinde told Osun United’s media.

NPFL: Katsina United declare Uche Collins missing

Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, side, Katsina United have declared Uche Collins Absent Without Official Leave (AWOL).

Katsina United Chairman Surajo Umar Baba made the announcement in a statement on Friday.

Umar stated that the player has been missing since the clash against Rangers on 22 February, 2026 at Muhammadu Dikko Stadium.

Baba said that the player is still under contract with the Chanji Boys until the end of the season 2026/2027.

Katsina United warned that any clubs trying to recruit the player without permission face a lawsuit.

Collins has been one of the standout performers for Katsina United in the past two seasons.

He was Katsina United’s Player of the Season in the 2024/25 campaign.

AFCON 2025: Super Eagles return to training ahead Uganda clash

Nigeria’s Super Eagles will return to training tonight ahead of their final group game against the Cranes of Uganda at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.

The session will hold at the Sardienne Complex. It will start at 5pm local time.

The Super Eagles observed Sunday as rest day following Saturday’s thrilling 3-2 win over the Carthage Eagles of Tunisia.

Head coach Éric Chelle is expected to rest some of his key stars including Victor Osimhen, Ademola Lookman, Wilfred Ndidi, and Alex Iwobi for the clash with Uganda.

It will be an opportunity for the fringe players to stake claim for a starting berth.

Tuesday’s encounter between Nigeria and Uganda will hold at the Complexe Sportif de Fès.
