The Allied Conservative Congress, ACC, has urged Nigerian youth to channel their energy towards the 2027 presidential election and to speak with their votes.

The party also said it would throw its presidential ticket open to all qualified, credible, visionary, purposeful and patriotic citizens from all six geopolitical zones.

In a statement signed by Rev. Olusegun Peters, its national chairman, ACC said it is currently focused on building strong structures across the nation.

It stated that it is in the process of mobilising citizens to its fold as the foremost political movement with conservative ideology.

“Nigerians need competent, reliable, trustworthy, resourceful and experienced leaders to pilot the affairs of the nation,” the statement said.

ACC assured Nigerians that it would field credible candidates in 2027, adding that it was time to save the nation from imminent collapse.

The statement added: “It is a task that must be done in the quest for sustainable development and democracy in Nigeria.

“Sadly, our dear country is at a crossroads in its democratic journey. There is confusion in government, hunger and anger in the land. It is time for action by all patriotic citizens, particularly governments at all levels, in accordance with Section 14(2) b of the 1999 constitution, as amended, which provides that the security and welfare of the people shall be the primary purpose of government.

“Nigerians are hungry and want the fruits of democracy to assuage their sufferings. ”

The party called on President Bola Tinubu to urgently address the needs of the people, subsidise the cost of foodstuffs, and provide palliatives and social amenities that would improve people’s standards of living and boost economic growth.

“To achieve this, the president should set aside political and ethnic sentiments and patronage, appoint well-experienced Nigerians to handle critical national issues that will revamp the economy, and ensure political stability and public order.

“The nation’s youths have expressed their anger; they should get ready for 2027 and speak with their votes as power resides in the people.

“Indeed, 2027 will be a litmus test of Nigerians’ political sagacity in electing credible, competent and God-fearing leaders. They should be assured that ACC is with them in restoring the lost glory and prosperity of our dear country. Together, we will make it happen.”
