The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA), Julius Neequaye Kotey, has announced plans to establish a new Ultra Centre in La to enhance service accessibility for residents.
Mr Kotey revealed this during an unannounced visit on Saturday, 18 October 2025, to Plaspack PVTS’s premises at Tse-Addo, behind Zenith University in the La Dade-Kotopon Municipality of the Greater Accra region.
During the visit, he inspected the company’s facilities and discussed the partnership arrangement.
Plaspack PVTS is a company specialising in plastic packaging, containers, and the manufacturing of bottles, jars, plastic products, and moulded items.
According to the DVLA Chief Executive, the visit offered a vital opportunity to engage directly with Plaspack and reassure the company of the Authority’s decision to establish the new centre within the community.
“The owner of Plaspack expressed great enthusiasm for the opportunity to operate this new centre. We eagerly anticipate more private-public partnerships to enhance the accessibility of our services.” Mr Kotey said.
The DVLA continues to expand its operations across the UK through strategic partnerships with private sector organisations, aiming to enhance efficiency, convenience, and service delivery to the motoring public.
