Davido recently revealed how he once slept in a friend’s studio during his early days as a musician. 

He revealed that his burning passion for music once drove him to escape his family’s opulent $60 million residence and seek solace in a friend’s studio. He told REAL 92.3 FM  in an interview.

In the interview, Davido acknowledged that some individuals initially attributed his prosperous music career to his father’s wealth. 

However, he emphasized that his talent and hard work ultimately won people over, dispelling any doubts about his capabilities.

“What was difficult for me was coming out from a wealthy background because people say his dad is in money, but they later agree that the boy is actually good after several records.

“People love the grass to grace and was down but now I’m up story, but I was never really been down bad.

While many are captivated by stories of rising from humble beginnings, Davido clarified that he hadn’t experienced extreme hardship. 

Nonetheless, he recounted the time he chose to depart from the comforts of his lavish home in Nigeria, opting to sleep in a friend’s studio instead. 

Davido knew that returning home would stifle his pursuit of music, and his determination drove him to make this daring decision.

He said, “We had a $60 million house in Nigeria that I ran away from and was sleeping in my friend’s studio because I know they won’t let me out again once I get home
