The dramatic directive, signed by Deputy Registrar Gordon A. Owusu on 3 July 2025, stems from a case pending before Criminal Court ‘5’ presided over by Her Ladyship Justice Kizita Naa Koowa Quarshie.
The order, referenced as suit number CR/0530/2025, includes Toh’s passport details (K4442228D) and mandates urgent action from immigration authorities to enforce the ban immediately.
The court’s decisive move has sent shockwaves through business circles, given Toh You Kang’s past connections with prominent figures and companies operating in Ghana.
In an unexpected twist, former Greater Accra Regional Minister and businessman, Emmanuel Nii Ashie Moore, has issued a strong disclaimer, emphatically cutting all ties with Toh You Kang.
In a statement dated 7 July 2025, Ashie Moore revealed that Toh was initially nominated by his Chinese partners, Foshan Yuejian Cable and Wire, to facilitate English-language business transactions in Ghana. However, he disclosed that Foshan Yuejian Cable and Wire had already issued their own disclaimer, severing all affiliations with Toh You.
“In alignment with that decision and for the sake of clarity and public awareness, I also formally disclaim any association with Toh You Kang regarding any business dealings or transactions, effective immediately,” Ashie Moore’s statement read.
He further warned the general public and business community to steer clear of any engagements with Toh You Kang, cautioning that anyone who deals with him does so at their own risk. He stressed that neither he nor his associates will be responsible for any transactions or representations made by the embattled businessman.
