The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has summoned the Member of Parliament for Chiana-Paga, Nikyema Billa Alamzy, to appear before the party’s Functional Executive Committee (FEC) today over comments he made against the ongoing “Thank You Tour.”
In a recent interview on GHOne TV, the MP questioned the rationale behind the tour being organised by National Chairman Johnson Asiedu Nketia in his constituency. He also criticised the lack of jobs and development in Chiana-Paga, which, in his view, deserved more attention than the Chairman’s tour.
A statement signed by the party’s Director of Administration, Emmanuel Zumakpeh, on Monday (29 September), directed Billa Alamzy and the Regional Chairman to appear before the committee on Tuesday (30 September) at 2 p.m. at the party’s headquarters in Adabraka.
“In view of the concerns raised by your comments in the said video, you are hereby invited to appear before the Committee to provide further explanation. By copy of this letter, the Regional Chairman is invited to come along with the Member of Parliament,” the statement read.
