Chanel One TV, Citi FM Vivian Kai Lokko resigns after 17 years

Vivian Kai Lokko, Head of news at Channel One TV, Citi FM has formally resigned after 17 years.

In a letter dated 2 October 2025, the renowned broadcaster, business reporter, and anchor of several flagship programmes across multiple media entities, announced her resignation with immediate effect.

“I wish to formally resign from my position as Head of News at Channel One TV and Citi FM, effective 2 October 2025,” the letter read.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Vivian Lokkostated that she submitted her resignation letter at 8:00am today and exited all platforms of the company at 8:30am.

She added that a new journey has begun in her career and details will soon be available to the public.

“After 17 years with Citi FM and Channel One TV, this morning at 8 am, I submitted my resignation letter and exited all platforms of the company at 8:03 am.

“Any narrative you hear is a lie, and the truth will come out in due course. A beautiful new journey has begun for me.”

The host of What the Papers Are Saying was recognised among the ‘Top 50 Ghanaian Journalists’ by Avance Media.

Under her leadership, Citi FM was adjudged Best Business Radio Station in both 2012 and 2013.
