Coventry City head coach Frank Lampard has showered encomium on Frank Onyeka following the midfielder’s impressive debut for the club, DAILY POST reports.
Onyeka, who joined the Sky Bet Championship club on loan from Brentford earlier this month put up a stellar display in the Sky Blues 3-1 home win over title rivals Middleborough on Monday night.
The Nigeria international was in action for 75 minutes in the thrilling contest.
The 28-year-old also earned plaudits from pundits for his performance.
Lampard admitted that Onyeka did so many things right in the game.
“He did great. He was so visible to the eye, you know, his pressing, his break up and quality on the ball. He reads stuff and gets on the move so quickly. He can eat up ground and he can play as well,” Lampard said after the game.
Promotion chasing Coventry City regained top spot on the Championship table following the win.
