Business Safari 2025 redefines Africa’s investment landscape through immersive experience

The Ghana India Trade Advisory Chamber (GITAC) has launched a new paradigm for investment promotion with Business Safari 2025, an immersive programme that moves beyond traditional forums to connect global investors directly with Africa’s economic opportunities.

The event convened leading CEOs, investors, government representatives and development partners across multiple sectors including renewable energy, agribusiness, manufacturing, healthcare, technology, logistics and transportation, and tourism and creative economy.

GITAC president Dominic Oduro-Antwi described the approach as fundamental to changing investment conversations. “We believe investors must experience Ghana — not just read reports. When you walk the land, meet the entrepreneurs, and witness the culture of innovation, the investment conversation becomes different.”

Through curated site visits, investment roundtables, high-level policy dialogues and networking safaris, participants engaged directly with Ghana’s strategic growth corridors. Oduro-Antwi emphasised that the event represented “Africa telling its own story — confidently, boldly, and without filters.”

The chamber’s measure of success focuses on tangible outcomes rather than attendance figures. “Our measure of success is not in the number of delegates. It is in the partnerships formed, the projects birthed, and the communities transformed,” Oduro-Antwi stated.

Concurrently, the GITAC International Foundation is implementing programmes in youth empowerment, skills training, women-led entrepreneurship and rural development. “A prosperous economy is one where everyone has a seat at the table,” Oduro-Antwi noted. “We cannot talk about trade without addressing human development.”

The Foundation’s upcoming initiatives seek to expand opportunities for young entrepreneurs through mentorship, digital training and access to networks – a mission considered central to Africa’s future competitiveness.

Early indicators show the Safari model has generated significant interest across diplomatic and corporate circles in Africa and India, with analysts projecting increased cross-border trade missions following the event.

Oduro-Antwi envisions the Safari’s aftermath as creating ripple effects that stimulate job creation, technology exchange and industrial growth while promoting socio-economic inclusion. “When partnerships are rooted in mutual respect, development becomes sustainable,” he emphasised. “That is the legacy we want to build.”

The Business Safari 2025 model is positioned to influence how African nations approach investment promotion, with several countries already studying the framework for potential adaptation.
