Artistes no longer allowed to do shows in Nigeria during Ramadan – Fave cries out

Nigerian singer, Chidozie Godsfavour Ugochinyere, popularly known as Fave, has raised an alarm over an alleged directive for artistes not to organise shows in Nigeria during the Islamic Ramadan period.

The Baby Riddim crooner lamented that her plan of organising a show in Nigeria on her birthday March 13, was encountering setbacks as it falls on the Ramadan period, which music concerts are now allegedly prohibited in the period.

On her X handle, she wrote, “So I was tryna do a show in Nigeria on my birthday this year but they’re telling me shows aren’t allowed during Ramadan? I’m a little confused.”

In another post, the singer revealed that promoters have been rejecting her proposed show back-to-back because it falls on the Ramadan.

She argued that Ramadan shouldn’t be affecting her or her business, stressing that she is a Christian and never heard about Ramadan practices until her late teens.

She wrote, “I started this year wanting to do my first show in Nigeria on my birthday as an independent artiste and back to back, promoters kept sending word to my team saying the same thing.

“I grew up in the south and never heard of Ramadan practices till I was in my late teens. I respect all religions. But I’m Christian and I really want to do this on my birthday so if you’re reading this and are open to organize, I’d be so happy.”

EPL: You’re talking like Chelsea were fifth bottom position – Paul Merson slams Rosenior

Arsenal legend, Paul Merson has slammed Chelsea manager, Liam Rosenior after the Gunners defeated the Blues in the Carabao Cup semi-final second leg tie on Tuesday.

Recall that Kai Havertz’s second half late goal ensured Arsenal defeated Chelsea to qualify for the Carabao Cup final.

Following the 1-0 loss, Rosenior emphasized the need for Chelsea to focus on “improvement” after the match.

However, Merson was critical of Rosenior’s remarks, suggesting that the 41-year-old spoke as if he inherited a team languishing at the bottom of the Premier League.

“I would love to talk to Arsenal players and ask, ‘Are you shocked what happened tonight? Did you think Chelsea would come here and have a right go?’ Merson told Sky Sports.

“Liam is talking like he came into Chelsea like they were fifth bottom in the league, they were not fifth bottom, they were still flying along, he is talking about improvement, Chelsea fans won’t be happy with that, I am sorry.”

Tonto Dikeh shares son’s emotional reunion with father, sparks faith-filled reactions online

Nollywood actress, Tonto Dikeh, has stirred widespread reactions on social media after sharing a touching video showing her son, King Andre, reuniting with his father, Olakunle, following a long period of strained relations between both parents.

The video, shared on Dikeh’s verified Instagram page, captured a calm and emotional moment between father and son in what appeared to be an office setting. Although no clear words were audible, the body language and quiet exchange suggested a moment of reconnection that resonated deeply with viewers.

Social media users reacted swiftly, describing the clip as heartwarming and symbolic. Many praised the development, stressing the importance of parental presence in a child’s life, regardless of past disagreements between adults.

Others commended the maturity involved in allowing the child share time with his father, noting that such gestures are vital for a child’s emotional wellbeing.

The video sparked wider conversations online about reconciliation, co-parenting, and healing after prolonged conflict, particularly for families navigating separation in the public eye.

Dikeh shared the video alongside a reflective message centred on faith, restoration, and personal transformation. In the lengthy post, the actress suggested that her journey has entered a new phase guided by grace rather than circumstance.

“God has a way of rewriting stories men thought were over,” she wrote. “This is grace speaking… and hearts for Jesus obeying. Time failed. Grace prevailed. Time could not cancel what God ordained. Restoration has a voice and today it spoke.”

The actress also acknowledged the role of her spiritual mentor, referring to him as her “spiritual father,” and credited his guidance with shaping her personal growth.

“To my spiritual father, Papa @realjerryeze, you will never see a better yesterday,” she wrote. “Through you, God transformed who I once was into the woman I am becoming — strong, grounded, and full of His grace.”

She concluded the message with a declaration that echoed strongly across social media: “What God cannot do does not exist.”

The development follows Dikeh’s recent public declaration about reconciliation and personal healing, making the shared video and reflective message a continuation of that narrative rather than a sudden revelation. Many followers interpreted the moment as a visible expression of the faith, forgiveness, and growth she had earlier spoken about.

The post has continued to attract strong engagement across social media, reinforcing conversations around healing and co-parenting.
