NNL: Amuneke reflects on Heartland’s failed promotion bid

Heartland head coach Emmanuel Amuneke, has reacted on his team’s failure to secure promotion to the Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL.

Amuneke said that they will reflect on their performance in the season and build on the successes for the next campaign.

Heartland beat Crown FC 1-0 in the final game of the 2025-26 NNL season.

The Naze Millionaires recorded 27 points from 16 matches.

“We will go back and reflect on our performance throughout the season before we can move forward,” Amuneke told Puyaka.

“We will continue to rely on the process in other to achieve our objectives in the future.”

NPFL reschedules El-Kanemi Warriors vs Nasarawa United to April 14

The Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, has announced a new date for the matchday 34 fixture involving El-Kanemi Warriors and Nasarawa United.

The encounter which was initially scheduled for Sunday 12th April will now take place on Tuesday 14th April, 2026.

According to the NPFL, the match was postponed due to flight schedule complications.

The match will be staged at the El-Kanemi Sports centre in Maiduguri.

El-Kanemi Warriors will be aiming to end their six-game winless run in the league.

The Borno Army are three points above the relegation zone.

Nasarawa United will look to take advantage of the hosts’ poor form as they push to return to winning ways after last weekend’s home loss to Kun Khalifat FC.

NPFL: Wikki Tourists players offered cash incentive to beat Bayelsa United

Wikki Tourists FC Chairman Salmanu Abubakar has announced a cash incentive package to motivate the team ahead of the matchday 34 encounter against Bayelsa United.

The Bauchi Elephants will take on Bayelsa United at the Samson Siasia Stadium in Yenagoa on Sunday(today).

Abubakar pledged 100,000 naira to any player who score a goal, 300,000 naira for the match-winning goal and 100,000 naira to any goalkeeper who keep a clean sheet.

The club boss stated that the incentive is aimed at ensuring the players give their all and fight for the maximum points in the game.

DAILY POST reports that Wikki Tourists must avoid defeat in the game to boost their push for relegation survival.

Fisayo Dele-Bashiru may not be available for Lazio’s Serie A clash against Fiorentina, DAILY POST reports.

Dele-Bashiru has missed training in the build-up to the game due to muscle fatigue raising concerns over his availability.

According to La Lazio, Siamo Noi, the midfielder could be included in the squad but there remains uncertainty over whether he was would he able to play a part in the game.

The Nigeria international has featured regularly in midfield alongside Danilo Cataldi and Kenneth Taylor in recent games.
