Arteta described the news of the death of Manninger, who passed away at the age of 48 on Thursday, as shocking and sad.
He spoke when asked about the passing of Manninger’s death at his pre-match press conference on Friday, ahead of Arsenal’s Premier League tie with Manchester City this weekend.
“Some very sad news, obviously. And we send his family and part of his journey our condolences and love.
