Two dead, others injured after car crash on Lagos- Ibadan road

Two men have reportedly died while two others are injured following a car crash that occurred on Ibafo, along the Lagos Ibadan expressway.

The crash involved a Blue Peugeot bus with registration number WRA224XA and an orange DAF truck with registration number ANC711XA.

Confirming the incident, the Ogun Public Education Officer, Federal Road Safety Corps, Florence Okpe, said the accident occurred at about 5:30 am.

She noted that the rescue operation was carried out by a team from FRSC Ibafo Command at Kara.

“ Rescue operation was carried out today, Tuesday, 25th June, 2024, by a team from FRSC Ibafo Command at Kara, on a crash that occurred at about 0530hrs

“ 4 Male adults were involved in the crash. 2 out of the persons involved were killed, while the other 2 were injured.

“ The suspected cause of the crash was speed and loss of control, which led to the rear collision of the two vehicles,” she said.

Okpe added that the injured victims were taken to the nearest hospital and the corpses were handed over to the families of the deceased.
