Real Madrid boss, Alvaro Arbeloa has praised Vinicius Junior following their strong 4-1 victory against Real Sociedad at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Vinicius came back to LaLiga with two goals, which helped Real Madrid take a two-point lead at the top of the league.
The 25-year-old missed Los Blancos’ most recent league game, which ended in a 2-0 victory over Valencia, because he had collected too many yellow cards.
Gonzalo Garcia scored first after five minutes, but Mikel Oyarzabal equalized for Sociedad in the 27th minute with a penalty after a foul in the box.
Parity only lasted four minutes before Real Madrid scored a penalty through Vinicius. Just after the half-hour mark, Federico Valverde scored a powerful goal to give the home team a two-goal lead.
Vinicius scored again with a penalty just three minutes after the game restarted, making his total goals this season 10, and helping his team win all three points.
After the game, Arbeloa praised Vinicius a lot, talking about how much he contributes in matches and saying he’s lucky to have him on his team.
He said, “I’ve been watching Vini Jr. a lot. For a whole month now, not just in this match. Since I’ve been here, he has been giving top-level performances, making important decisions, and he did that today too.
“On other days, he scores goals and helps his teammates by making assists. He is a player who makes a big difference in games not just because of his stats, but because of how he changes the flow of the match, how many teammates he draws into the game, and how he affects the other team’s defense and whole squad.
“He is among the top players globally, and it’s an honor to train him. He’s a really great person with a lot of kindness in his heart. He is a really good teammate and a top player, and I’m really lucky to have him on my team.”
Vinicius has been involved in 21 goals for Real Madrid in all competitions this season.
