Jubilation as Delta community installs new monarch

There was wild jubilation in Orogun Community in Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State following the installation of a new Okpara-Uku, King.

This is coming as the Orogun Council of Chiefs led by Chief Samuel Ojumah and the President General of Orogun Kingdom, EtetakpoThompson Opone and others paid homage to the newly installed monarch, HRM Joseph Emoghene Okorocha Osokpa 1, (JP).

The Council of Chiefs, speaking at a reception in celebration of the monarch’s installation at the palace in Orogun town, said the king would bring peace and development to Orogun kingdom in all ramifications.

Addressing newsmen, the Chairman of Orogun Council of Chiefs, Samuel Ojumal said the Chiefs will continue to support the monarch to succeed at all times.

“We are here today celebrating our newly installed Okpara-Uku of Orogun kingdom HRM, Emoghene Joseph Okorocha Osokpa 1, according to him. His installation will bring peace and development to the kingdom.”

The Spokesman of Orogun Council of Chiefs(Otota), Olorogun Joseph Ochuko Orogun (JP), expressed gladness at the successful installation of the King.

“We are very happy today rejoicing with our newly installed Okpara-Uku of Orogun Kingdom, in fact, this is the best Okpara-Uku in the history of Okpara-Uku of Orogun Kingdom. He is a man of timber and calibre who will take the kingdom to greater height traditionally.”

Chief Ochuko Joseph Orogun (JP) who is the Omamoromo of Orogun Kingdom assured that the people of the kingdom will continue to rally round the traditional ruler just as he called on all sons and daughters of the kingdom to support the newly installed Okpara-Uku of Orogun kingdom

The President General of Orogun kingdom, Etetakpo Thompson rejoiced with the newly installed monarch and prayed that his reign would bring peace and tranquillity in Orogun kingdom.

According to him, it is time now to throw away any differences in the kingdom and join hands with our Royal father to move Orogun kingdom forward.

Speaking in the same vein, the President General of Umusu Subclan in Orogun kingdom, Enakpodia who is the Avwerotemor of Orogun kingdom, prayed that the monarch’s reign attract development and progress to the kingdom.

He also assured the monarch of the continued support from the Subclan to him, saying, “he is the father of the kingdom.”

Spokesman of Orogun kingdom, Chief J.O Ominigbo said, “the Okpara-Uku should rule in peace and harmony, and l commend the people of the kingdom for their efforts to ensure that the installation ceremony was successful. Our Okpara-Uku is an educated person and he will carry the kingdom to the next level.

In his own remarks, Olufemi Bakre expressed appreciation for the certification and acknowledged the collective effort of the team and partners that made it possible.
