Emenike Marks 70th Birthday, Unveils Seven New Books

Anambra-born industrialist and Chairman of NEROS Pharmaceuticals, Prof. Poly I. Emenike, has unveiled seven new books in commemoration of his 70th birthday, further expanding his contributions to entrepreneurship, community development and intellectual discourse.

The launch, held today, adds to his growing catalogue of works spanning psychology, business, philosophy, self-development and Igbo socio-economic history. With the new publications, Emenike has authored 21 books to date.

According to information made available to journalists, by his media consultant, Dr Kingsley Onuzulike, each of the seven titles reflects aspects of his academic, entrepreneurial and philanthropic experiences.

One of the works, “Nanka Tigers and Tigresses of Development”, documents the history of philanthropy in Nanka, his hometown in Orumba North LGA of Anambra State.

Another, “How to Be a Polymath”, examines principles for developing multi-disciplinary competence, drawing from his background in entrepreneurial psychology.

His book, “One Month Out of Social Media”, focuses on the impact of digital distraction on productivity, while “Igbo Apprenticeship (Nwaboi) System” assesses the prospects of the traditional commerce model in a rapidly changing global economy.

Other titles include “Entrepreneurial and Professional Succession Grooming”, “Wealth and Success Through the Law of Attraction”, and “Swimming Pool Approach to Achieving Your Goals”.

Prof. Emenike, who completed secondary school at 32 due to delays caused by the Nigeria–Biafra Civil War, earned his bachelor’s degree at 41, master’s at 43, PhD at 59 and professorship at 66.

He has attended executive programmes at the Lagos Business School and the Harvard Business School.

He also holds the distinction of being the first non-American to receive the Napoleon Hill Foundation Gold Medal Award and currently sits on the Foundation’s Board of Trustees.

Beyond authorship, Emenike is widely recognised for community and youth development initiatives across Anambra State.

His interventions include the construction of a post office, civic centre, NEROS Sports Stadium, and sponsorship of sports programmes such as the Nanka Champions League and the Anambra FA Cup.

In the education sector, he has funded departments at the University of Lagos and Nnamdi Azikiwe University and sponsored over 20 undergraduates, in addition to supporting hundreds of youths with university admissions. He also serves as a visiting professor and member of UNIZIK Business School’s governing board.

Since 2013, when his first book was published by the Napoleon Hill Foundation, his works have been translated into French and Spanish. He has also distributed 37,000 free copies of his entrepreneurial text to youths across the country.

As congratulatory messages continue to pour in from academics, entrepreneurs and community groups, stakeholders describe Emenike’s latest publications as a significant addition to ongoing conversations on national development, enterprise building and youth empowerment.
