A determined group of citizens is gearing up for a major street action today, Tuesday, 25 November 2025, as frustration mounts over what they describe as the underperformance of Special Prosecutor Kissi Agyebeng.
The organisers say the time has come for President John Dramani Mahama to end Mr Agyebeng’s tenure and restore public confidence in the Office of the Special Prosecutor.
Addressing the media on Monday, 24 November, Lead Convener Apostle Abraham Larbi Lincoln announced that the demonstration, branded “Agro Ne Fom” will send a clear message about growing discontent with the office’s output.
“We will be in our reds, and we will be there to present our case. If he doesn’t listen, then we know the kind of person he is. We are marching straight to the Jubilee House, and we will petition the President,” he stated.
Apostle Lincoln emphasised that the demonstration is not driven by personal animosity toward Mr Agyebeng but by a conviction that the institution has veered off course.
According to him, the solution is either an overhaul of the Office of the Special Prosecutor or a complete shutdown of the institution, including the removal of its staff.
Adding to the momentum, private legal practitioner Martin Kpebu revealed that multiple formal actions have already been taken to trigger Mr. Agyebeng’s removal.
“As we speak now, there are 15 petitions to remove Kissi Agyebeng. When was the last time you heard of other persons subject to Article 146 proceedings ever having 15 petitions filed against them? That tells you that there is something wrong,” Mr Kpebu said.
The demonstrators will end their march at the Jubilee House, where they plan to submit a petition urging President Mahama to act swiftly on the matter.
