Parliament of Ghana has donated an amount of GH₵100,000 to support the treatment and recovery of victims of the recent stampede at the El-Wak Sports Stadium.
The Speaker of Parliament, Rt Hon Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin, described the donation as a gesture of solidarity and compassion from the House towards citizens affected by the tragedy. He said the contribution reflects Parliament’s commitment to the welfare of Ghanaians, particularly in times of crisis.

“This gesture is a token of Parliament’s solidarity with the victims and a demonstration of the House’s commitment to the welfare of citizens affected by the tragedy,” the Speaker stated.
The Speaker made the presentation during a visit to the 37 Military Hospital, where he led a delegation of parliamentary leadership to sympathise with the injured and their families.
