Hot SourceThe Nigerian Education Loan Fund, NELFUND, has released a list of 203 tertiary institutions that failed to upload their students’ data for the 2024/2025 student loan application.
The Fund also announced the reopening of its data submission portal for 48 hours to enable non-compliant institutions to complete the process.
The tertiary institutions are required to upload students’ information onto the agency’s Student Loan Application System (SLAS), which enables them to apply for the loan.
In a statement issued late Friday by the Fund’s Director of Strategic Communications, Oseyemi Oluwatuyi, the portal will reopen from 12:00 a.m. on Sunday, October 12, 2025, to 12:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 14, 2025.
Oluwatuyi said the extension was to ensure that all eligible students were duly captured and verified by their respective schools as part of the ongoing 2024/2025 NELFUND loan application process.
“Institutions are strongly advised to make full use of this final opportunity. Failure to complete the verification process within the stipulated period will result in the affected institutions forfeiting participation in the current loan cycle, a situation that will, regrettably, disadvantage their students who are the ultimate beneficiaries of the loan scheme,” the statement read.
