Parliament will reconvene on Tuesday, 21 October 2025 at 2:00pm, the Speaker of Parliament, Rt Hon Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin, has officially announced.
This follows an earlier notice issued on 6 October 2025, which deferred the commencement of the Third Meeting of the First Session of the Ninth Parliament of the Fourth Republic.
In a communication dated 8 October 2025, and issued from his office at Parliament House in Accra, the Speaker stated that the new date has been set pursuant to Order 58 of the Standing Orders of Parliament, which empowers the Speaker to determine the time of meeting.
The Third Meeting is expected to address outstanding parliamentary business, including the consideration of bills, legislative instruments and key government policy matters ahead of the 2026 budget cycle.
Rt Hon Bagbin’s directive signals the resumption of full parliamentary activity after the recess, as lawmakers prepare to return to the chamber for debates and committee engagements.
