Former Great Olympics and Black Galaxies coach Annor Walker dies at 62

Former Great Olympics and Black Galaxies coach, Daniel Annor Walker, has died aged 62.

He passed away after a short illness at his residence in Accra on Wednesday, 1 October 2025.

Walker enjoyed a distinguished coaching career, managing several Ghanaian clubs, including Nania FC, Kpando Hearts of Lions and Berekum Chelsea.

A holder of a CAF Licence A certificate, he first rose to prominence with Nania FC, where he served as assistant coach before taking over as head coach between 2005 and 2011.

He later handled the national team, the Black Galaxies, guiding them to the 2023 African Nations Championship (CHAN) in Algeria.
