Hot SourceThe National Democratic Congress (NDC) has announced that a high-level delegation led by its General Secretary, Fifi Fiavi Kwetey, is attending the 2025 Labour Party Conference in the United Kingdom.
The four-member team departed Accra on Friday, 26 September, and is scheduled to return on 3 October. Joining Mr Kwetey are Deputy General Secretary Barbara Serwaah Asamoah, National Deputy Communications Officer Godwin Ako Gunn and Deputy Director of International Relations Dr Karl Arhin.
According to a statement signed by NDC Director of Communications Kakra Essamuah, the visit underscores the party’s commitment to “strengthening international partnerships and solidarity with progressive parties across the globe in advancing shared ideals of social justice, equality and inclusive development”.
In Mr Kwetey’s absence, Deputy General Secretary (Operations) Mustapha Gbande will oversee the day-to-day administration of the party.
The NDC has in recent years sought to deepen ties with like-minded political movements abroad, and the UK Labour Conference offers an opportunity for the opposition party to exchange ideas on policy, strategy and the global progressive agenda.
