The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike, on Thursday lashed out at Senator Ireti Kingibe.
Wike warned residents of the FCT against voting for people like Ireti Kingibe.
He challenged the senator to reveal how she has impacted Abuja people as a senator aside from speaking grammar.
The minister spoke during the official flag-off of the construction of Northern Parkway from Ring Road II to Ring Road III, Abuja.
He said: “Let me thank my chairman, those who are going and those who are coming back, I have seen one that I know, I think it’s AMAC, is it not? I don’t know the party where he is running but I know he is doing well and we are supporting him to come back. Don’t forget, it will look like I’m not in support of grammar.
”Let me tell you something, my dear sisters, let me tell you, don’t allow people who don’t mean well for you. Don’t vote for somebody because she is a woman, don’t vote for somebody because he’s a man.
”Vote for somebody who will deliver, no amount of crying as a woman that would solve the problem, choose somebody that is close to you that when you call him in the night, he would answer, when you call him in the morning he will answer, don’t call those who are interested to have a bottle of drink.
”Call a man that if he has a problem you will see him there, that is the kind of thing we should do. But of course, a time is coming when it will be an operation show your report card.
”What happened? What grammar did you speak in the National Assembly? What impact? How are Abuja people benefitting from your lawmaking, it’s very important but time will come.”
