Two naked lifeless bodies of lovers found in Ondo apartment

Two naked, lifeless lovers were, at the weekend, discovered in an apartment in Ondo town, headquarters of the Ondo West Local Council Area of Ondo State.

The deceased, a middle-aged man identified as Eric, and his yet-to-be-identified girlfriend were said to have been found stuck together in a sexual position in their new apartment, which they had just moved into.

Sources in the area claimed that the bodies were taken to a medical facility in the town, where a doctor separated them.

The real cause of their deaths was yet to be ascertained as of press time, however, a source within the Ayeyemi axis of the town, where the incident occurred, claimed that the lovers were electrocuted during sex.

The source, who gave his name simply as Festus, said, “The generator was running on the premises of their apartment, and a phone was seen charging on a socket placed on the bed. It may be possible that they had contact with a naked wire, resulting in their electrocution.”

Another source said the relatives of the deceased found them dead when they checked on him after they didn’t answer their phone calls the following day. They peeped through a window, spotted the bodies, and then broke down the door to enter.

Meanwhile, the Ondo State Police Command has disclosed that an investigation into the circumstances that led to the death of the man and his girlfriend had commenced.

When contacted, the state police public relations officer, Funmilayo Odunlami, said, “The man and the woman are lovers who were known by both relatives. They died in the room, but they were not stuck together.

“We are yet to know the cause, but an investigation has commenced,” the PPRO stated.
