The Bauchi State Police Command has arrested two men and recovered a stolen Toyota Hummer bus.
This was contained in a statement issued by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, SP Nafiu Habib.
According to the statement, the owner of the vehicle had earlier reported the theft at the Yankari Express Motor Park in Bauchi after parking the bus and stepping out to observe prayers at a nearby mosque within the terminal.
Acting on credible intelligence, police operatives intercepted and arrested two suspects identified as Anas Yarima, 35, and Abubakar Adam, 53, along the Bauchi–Gombe highway. The stolen vehicle was reportedly recovered from their possession during the operation.
The command further disclosed that the suspects voluntarily confessed to the crime, stating that they used a master key to gain access to and drive away the vehicle from the park.
