In a statement he issued, Idam decried the persistent power crisis across the country.
According to Idam: “I’m bothered that President Tinubu is not worried about the performance of his Minister of Power.
“What exactly is Mr. President’s attraction to cabinet members whose performances are disapproved of by Nigerians?
“The consistent power crisis has continued to challenge the reason for the continued retention of the Minister of Power in President Tinubu’s cabinet.
“Rather than improve on the already unimpressive power supply in Nigeria, President Tinubu’s administration has dashed every hope in the area of power, especially with his present minister. It’s either a collapse of the national grid or erratic power supply without a reason.
“Assuming votes count in Nigeria, leaders would certainly be paying attention to the yearnings of citizens. Unfortunately, that is not the case, which is why they get away with poor performance.
“Coming across President Tinubu’s campaign videos promising to fix electricity issues within a few months has really got me wondering whether we should still hope that power will be fixed under his administration or if we should wait for the next.
“It’s either this administration is terrible, or the policies are. Something is really terrible in this administration.”

The U.S. Vice President has justified why President Donald Trump’s government sent Kilmar Abrego Garcia, a Maryland father, to a torture dungeon in El Salvador.
There were reports that the Trump administration, in a court filing on Monday, admitted that it captured the Maryland father, who had protected legal status, and “mistakenly” deported him to El Salvador.
According to the report, the administration, however, said that U.S. courts lack jurisdiction to order his return from the megaprison where he is being held.
Reacting, Jon Favreau, a former director of speechwriting for former President Barack Obama, criticized the administration in a post on his X handle.
The post, which tagged J.D. Vance and Elon Musk, said, “You just admitted to accidentally sending an innocent father from Maryland to a torture dungeon in El Salvador. And you refuse to do anything about it.”
Commenting on Jon’s post, J.D. Vance claimed that “according to the court document you apparently didn’t read, he (Garcia) was a convicted MS-13 gang member with no legal right to be here.
“My further comment is that it’s gross to get fired up about gang members getting deported while ignoring the citizens they victimize.”

He disclosed this during a Sallah homage visit by local government chairmen, led by the chairman of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON) in Adamawa State, Engineer Suleiman Ahmed Gangkuba, at the Government House in Yola.
Addressing the delegation, Governor Fintiri urged the chairmen to enhance their governance efforts at the grassroots, emphasizing their responsibility to effectively serve their communities.
He noted that his planned tour across the state would focus on identifying local development needs and addressing them.
“The evaluation will be part of my statewide tour aimed at ensuring effective governance and addressing pressing development needs,” Fintiri stated.
The governor also reminded the chairmen that political success requires dedication and hard work, adding that his successor would be someone with strong grassroots experience and political competence.

South Korea’s Constitutional Court will on Friday, issue its ruling on if to permanently remove impeached President Yoon Suk Yeol from office.
In a statement on Tuesday, the court said in that it will hand down its ruling on Yoon, who was impeached by legislators after briefly declaring martial law late last year, at 11am (02:00 GMT) and it will be broadcast live.
At least six of the eight justices have to uphold Yoon’s impeachment to remove him from office.
If the court affirms Yoon’s impeachment, then a presidential election will be conducted within 60 days.
Otherwise, Yoon, who has been suspended since mid-December, will be reinstated immediately.
Yoon claimed he issued his short-lived martial law decree to raise alarm about what he claimed was the opposition Democratic Party’s obstructionism and sympathetic stance towards North Korea.
Yoon, who was elected in 2022, lifted martial law within six hours after the National Assembly voted unanimously to overturn the decree.

This was as in Bangkok, rescuers pressed on, searching for life under the rubble of a collapsed skyscraper.
DAILY POST reports that at least 2,000 people died in the 7.7 magnitude quake, which hit around lunchtime on Friday.
As aid teams made into areas near the epicentre, they found out that a massive humanitarian effort was required for those who survived the incident.
“Having lived through the terror of the earthquake, people now fear aftershocks and are sleeping outside on roads or in open fields.
“However, in towns and cities, safe spaces are scarce. There is an urgent need for tents, as even those whose homes remain intact are too afraid to sleep indoors,” an International Rescue Committee worker in Mandalay said.
The International Red Cross, IRC, said its teams also found people urgently in need of medical care, drinking water and food.
It was gathered that civil war in Myanmar, where the junta seized power in a coup in 2021, has complicated efforts to reach those injured and made homeless by the Southeast Asian nation’s biggest quake in a century.
State media has reported Myanmar’s death toll at 2,065, with more than 3,900 injured and at least 270 missing.
The military government declared a week-long mourning period from Monday.

The Democratic Party on Monday urged a US court to block President Donald Trump’s executive order overhauling the election system, arguing that the changes risked denying eligible US citizens the right to vote.
The Democratic National Committee, in a lawsuit against the Trump administration filed in Washington, DC federal court, said Trump exceeded his authority in the March 25 order by requiring voters to prove they are US citizens, preventing states from counting mail-in ballots received after Election Day, and threatening to take federal funding away from states that do not comply.
According to the lawsuit, filed by longtime Democratic election lawyer Marc Elias and other lawyers at his firm, the Executive Order seeks to impose radical changes on how Americans register to vote, cast a ballot, and participate in our democracy, all of which threaten to disenfranchise lawful voters and none of which is legal.
It was gathered that US Senator Chuck Schumer and US Representative Hakeem Jeffries, the leaders of the Democratic minorities in the US Senate and House of Representatives, respectively, are also plaintiffs in the case.
At the time of filing this report, the White House has not commented on the development.
The Trump administration has previously argued that the order would prevent foreign nationals from interfering in US elections.
Trump has long questioned the US electoral system and continues to falsely claim that his 2020 loss to Democratic President Joe Biden was the result of widespread fraud.
The president and his Republican allies also have made baseless claims about widespread voting by non-citizens, which is illegal and rarely occurs.
In their lawsuit, the Democrats said the US Constitution empowers individual states and Congress, not the president, to control how federal elections are conducted.
“The Framers of our federal Constitution foresaw that self-interested and self- aggrandizing leaders might seek to corrupt our democratic system of government to expand and preserve their own power,” the lawsuit read.
Earlier on Monday, voting rights groups including the Campaign Legal Center and State Democracy Defenders Fund brought a separate legal challenge to the executive order.
