Suspended Kogi Central Senator, Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, on Tuesday, said Senate President Godswill Akpabio and Governor Usman Ododo, and the former Governor Yahaya Bello should be held responsible if anything happens to her.
Natasha-Akpoti said Nigerians should hold the above-mentioned names responsible if her followers are attacked.
She made the call in a post via her Facebook page.
Natasha wrote: “My dear people of Kogi Central, I look forward to our peaceful Sallah celebrations today.
“However, should we be met with or infiltrated by violence, Nigerians should hold Gov Òdodo, Yahaya Bello & SP Godswill Akpabio wholly responsible.”
Her warning comes a few hours after she vowed in a statement to go ahead with her scheduled visit to her constituency for the Eid-el-Fìtr break and the rally planned for her homecoming.
She also urged her supporters to disregard speculations making the round that she has cancelled her scheduled visit.
The embattled lawmaker stated that she has a statutory function in her capacity as the lawmaker representing her constituents.
She urged her supporters to troop out en masse to celebrate the Eid-el-Fitr with her.
On Monday, the Kogi State Government banned rallies and public gatherings in the state over ‘security reports’.
The government also stopped fishing and other activities, arguing that they recently resulted in the loss of two lives in Kasemiya, Katubo and Umozu Ette, all in Kogi Local Government Area in Kogi West.
The Commissioner for Information, Kingsley Fanwo said the move was to prevent any form of security breach that might destabilise the state.
Similarly, the Kogi Police Command warned Akpoti-Uduagan to cancel her planned Sallah rally.

The Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Police Command has advised the public, particularly youth groups and hiking enthusiasts, to obtain police permission before embarking on camping or hiking activities.
In a statement on Tuesday, the FCT Police Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh, said the directive is due to “recent security concerns and the need to ensure the safety of all participants.”
The FCT Commissioner of Police, CP Ajao Adewale, stressed that failing to notify the police could expose participants to security threats, as remote locations may be prone to criminal activities.
“The Command stressed the importance of notifying the police and liaising with them to obtain guidance on safe routes and adequate security arrangements,” Adewale said,
“The FCT Police are committed to working with the public to minimize risks by offering expert advice on intended locations and ensuring proper monitoring and protection where necessary.” He added.
He also urged organizers to ensure that all participants are accounted for throughout the duration of outdoor activities to prevent cases of missing persons or other emergencies.
“To request security coverage, obtain advice on safe routes, or report any suspicious activities, members of the public are encouraged to contact the FCT Police Command,” the statement added.
