Pastor blames parent for children’s involvement in money rituals
Following the high rate of ritual killings in the country, the General Overseer of Christ The Solution Bible Church, Pastor Olufunso Ololade, has said that parents are to blame for the missteps of their children.
Pastor Ololade explained that many parents, rather than teaching their children discipline and the value of hard work, compare them to their affluent friends without understanding the sources of their wealth.
He made the statement on Thursday during an interactive radio programme on Family 88.5 FM, monitored by our correspondent in Abeokuta, Ogun State.
DAILY POST reports that incidents of ritual killings have increased, with many victims being young girls who are either beheaded or driven insane.
The Ogun State Police Command has also raised concerns about the growing number of missing persons in the state, primarily women involved in hookups.
Pastor Ololade, popularly known as Baba Solution, lamented that children, after being pressured by their parents, often seek alternative means of getting rich, regardless of whether those means are legal or not.
He said: “Most parents don’t know how to motivate their children. Instead, they compare them to others, thereby pushing them to go the extra mile to make quick money.
“Some children are emotional and will start seeking alternative means of getting rich. They won’t mind even if it’s illegal because they just want to make money.”
He, however, urged youths to remain focused on their dreams and wait patiently for God’s timing.
“As a youth, just focus on your dreams and wait patiently for God’s time. You are not in competition with anybody. God’s plan rewards hard work,” he added.
