Speaking at the Fireside Chat on the main stage of Air Cargo Africa in Nairobi, the Divisional Senior Vice President of Emirates SkyCargo, Badr Abbas, outlined his vision to elevate the carrier’s role as a trusted partner in connecting the world and solving the transportation challenges of its customers.

He stated that the company’s immediate priorities focus on empowering innovation, strengthening customer relationships, and driving sustainable growth.
Mr Abbas noted that by embracing cutting-edge technology, expanding its global network, and fostering a culture of resilience, Emirates SkyCargo aims to contribute to the prosperity of the global economy while setting new standards in air cargo logistics.
He emphasized the carrier’s ability to turn challenges into opportunities, highlighting its resilience in the face of uncertainty.
“We have reinforced our resilience by diversifying our network, embracing technology, and strengthening customer partnerships. By staying agile and forward-thinking, we are ensuring that even in times of uncertainty or geopolitical events, our customers can rely on us to keep the world’s supply chains moving,” he said.
As part of its 10-year strategy, Emirates SkyCargo plans to add 20 new destinations to its global freighter network, with Copenhagen being the first.
The carrier is also expecting the delivery of multiple aircraft in the next financial year, to operate a fleet of 21 dedicated freighters by December 2026.
This expansion will unlock additional capacity and enable the company to better facilitate global trade.
Mr Abbas also highlighted the importance of collaboration with customers to develop tailored solutions.
“Our team of experts will continue to work closely with our customers to develop products and solutions that solve their industry’s transportation challenges.” Mr Abbas said.
