Benue boat mishap: 11 persons rescued unhurt – Police
Benue Police Command says eleven persons have been rescued unhurt after the boat crash on Saturday in River Benue.
This was contained in statement on Monday by the Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, SP Catherine Anene
She said ten persons rescued earlier were unconscious.
Anene said eight people were resuscitated and are responding to treatment, while two (2) have been confirmed dead and deposited at the mortuary
According to her, four more corpses were recovered on Monday, while 3 persons are still missing.
Anene said a total of six (6) persons were confirmed dead and 3 still missing as at 4pm, 16th December, 2024
Recall that a boat accident occurred in the Agatu Local Government Area area of Benue state on Saturday, which claimed the lives of about 20 people, while 11 persons were rescued from the water alive by local divers.
