Kano police arrest suspected kidnapper, rescue boy

The Kano State Police Command has successfully arrested a suspected kidnaper Abubakar Musa, 25, and rescued a two-year-old boy Al’amin Ahmad Gabar.
This operation has been significant in fighting crime in the state.
‘’The command issued a press release where they explained that the suspect who lives at Rijiyar lemo suggested that the family of the young boy pays a ransom of N50,000,000 for the boy’s release.’’

The suspect was arrested on December 25, 2024 MORPH. The police believe the boy was held for three days at a house in Unguwar Liman Dorayi quarters, Kano.
The boy was taken to Murtala Mohammed specialists hospital, treated and discharged while being reunited with his family.
On 3rd January, 2025 Abubakar Musa was charged in nominal magisterial court number 25 and is being held in remand for subject matter jurisdiction.
The Commissioner of Police Salman Dogo Garba reiterated his command’s pledge to ensure all residents of Kano are protected.
