AIG charges personnel to reciprocate their promotions to Nigeria
Assistant Inspector-General of Police, Zone 6 Calabar, AIG Mustapha Muhamed Bala, has charged the security personnel under his command to reciprocate the gesture of their promotion by dedicating their best professional efforts to Nigeria.
He spoke in his office when he decorated 11 newly promoted officers with their new ranks.
He told them that promotion was not a right but a privilege, stressing that to whom much is given, much is expected.
He urged them to remember that security is an issue that is very dear and important to the country.
He congratulated the officers for their well-deserved promotion, urging them to double their efforts as it is an additional responsibility.
The AIG explained that the promotion was in line with the Force Manpower Development Policy, aimed at motivating police personnel for effective service delivery by identifying, elevating, and positioning deserving officers professionally.
Some of the newly decorated officers include CSP Ejiro Markson, CSP Ikechukwu Victor, CSP Bassey Eyo, and DSP Akachukwu.
In a statement released Wednesday morning by the zonal acting PRO, ASP Edim Obazi, the officers expressed happiness at the promotion and pledged to redouble their efforts to justify the confidence reposed in them.
Speaking later, CSP Bassey Eyo, who is also a bishop, thanked God for the promotion and prayed for His guidance to efficiently discharge their new duties.
