Faulty transmission line causes widespread power outage in North

The Transmission Company of Nigeria has reported a significant power outage affecting the North-East, North-West, and parts of North-Central due to a fault in its 330kV Ugwaji–Apir transmission lines. This latest development follows the multiple collapses of the National grid. In 2024 alone, the country has recorded at least eight cases of national grid collapse.
