Gunmen shoot, injure 22-year-old boy in Delta community

Gunmen suspected to be armed robbers shot and injured a 22-year-old man, Goodluck Joe, on Friday in Mosogar community, Ethiope-West Local Government Area of Delta State.

It was reported that the incident occurred while the victim was on his way home, when the gunmen accosted, shot, and seriously injured him along Otubu Church Road, Mosogar.

The attackers also stole his mobile phone and left him in the pool of his blood.

Goodluck was rushed to the Delta State University Teaching Hospital (DELSUTH), Oghara.

Medical scans revealed that he was suffering from internal bleeding.

The victim is currently fighting for his life.

At the time of this report, the victim’s relative, identified as Voltage Gbagbanor, expressed gratitude to everyone for their support and prayers during this difficult time.

He also appealed to the public for financial assistance to help cover the victim’s substantial medical bills.

Gbagbanor stated, “Please join us in prayer and in fundraising to restore this innocent boy to good health. Thank you.”

The Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Bright Edafe, has yet to respond to confirm the incident.
