A chieftain of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Abia State, Ndubuisi Emeh has challenged the Labour Party (LP) to allow a national body to conduct the upcoming Abia State local government election, boasting that APC will win all available seats in the contest.
Emeh who spoke to ABN TV after a recent meeting of the APC stakeholders in the state, claimed that LP is not popular in Abia but only capitalized on the Obidient wave to win the 2023 governorship poll and other elective seats in the state.
According to him, Abia will be taken over by the APC in 2027 by the APC to confirm that APC and President Bola Tinubu are very popular in the state.
Emeh who drummed support for the APC leaders in Abia State including Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, Deputy Speaker, Benjamin Kalu and other party chieftains, maintained that his party is positioning itself to take over the APC in 2027.
“APC must take Abia State come 2027. Even this coming local government election, APC is sweeping everywhere in the state to tell that you that we own this state.
“If they allow the state to handle the election which means they have not given local government autonomy.
“But if you want to know if APC is on ground or if APC voted for Tinubu or if APC is the owner of this state, let the National Assembly do the needful and give us the body that will handle this local government election,” he said.
