UniAbuja appoints female acting registrar
The Governing Council of the University of Abuja has approved the appointment of Mrs Islamiya Abdulraheem as the acting registrar of the institution.
This decision was made during the council’s 71st Extraordinary meeting held on November 5, 2024.
Prior to her new role, Islamiya was a deputy registrar overseeing the Vice Chancellor’s Office, as well as serving as Deputy Registrar for Establishment.
According to a statement released on Wednesday by the Acting Director of Information and University Relations, University of Abuja, Dr Habib Yakoo , her appointment will take effect on November 12, 2024.
She will succeed Malam Yahaya Mohammed, whose tenure as registrar will conclude on November 12, after serving for five years.
