TCN announces blackout in Kogi Thursday

The Transmission Company of Nigeria has announced that Lokoja and its environs in Kogi State will be out of electricity supply on Thursday.

Ndidi Mbah, the general manager, Public Affairs at TCN, disclosed this in a statement on Wednesday.

The company said the blackout is due to its maintenance on 60 megavolt-amperes transformers and switchgear at Lokoja 330/132/33-kilovolt Transmission Substation in Kogi State.

TCN explained that the blackout will last from 10 am to 4 pm.

“Consequently, Abuja DisCo will not be able to offtake bulk power supply from the transformer for its customers in LOKOJA TOWN, CBN, KOTON KARFE and environs.

“Please note that bulk power supply will be restored immediately after the maintenance is completed”, TCN stated.
