Elon Musk, leader of the Department of Government Efficiency, DOGE, has
labelled a federal judge’s ruling blocking his team from accessing certain government systems as ‘absolutely insane.’
DAILY POST reports that US District Judge Paul Engelmayer had issued the ruling after a group of attorneys general sued Musk’s DOGE on Friday.
The attorneys argued that the presidential commission does not have the right to access US Department of Treasury systems.
Musk condemned the order in a tweet via his X account on Saturday.
“This ruling is absolutely insane!
“How on Earth are we supposed to stop fraud and waste of taxpayer money without looking at how money is spent?
“That’s literally impossible!
“Something super shady is going to protect scammers,” Musk wrote on X.
Recall that Musk and DOGE was backed by United States President Donald Trump to swung into action to cut costs across agencies, including the US Treasury Department and the US Agency for International Development, USAID.
Just recently, DOGE dismantled USAID, affecting all, but roughly 600 members of its 10,000-plus staff around the world were placed on leave.
