Imo State Commissioner of Police, CP Aboki Danjuma has decorated 146 officers recently promoted to the rank of Assistant Superintendent of Police, ASP, charging them to prepare for more tasks ahead.
Speaking during the decoration ceremony, the Commissioner of Police stated that promotion is an integral component of improving personnel productivity as he congratulated the newly promoted officers and tasked them to brace up for the task ahead, noting that promotion comes with greater responsibilities.
He urged them to exhibit a higher level of wisdom and professionalism in the discharge of their lawful duties.
Danjuma also admonished the newly decorated officers to uphold the tenet of discipline, transparency, and accountability which is the bedrock of the force and to always act in line with the existing laws and professional ethics of the Nigeria Police Force.
Speaking on behalf of the decorated officers, ASP Victoria Nwoke thanked the Commissioner of Police and his management team for their continued support, guidance, and words of admonition, as well as their unwavering commitment to personnel welfare.
She also expressed her profound gratitude to the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun and the Police Service Commission, for finding them worthy of the promotion and promised to responsibly fulfill the mandates expected of their new ranks.
