Osun 2025: Gov Adeleke signs N427.8bn budget
A budget of N427 billion has been signed into law by Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State.
DAILY POST learnt that the signing of the 2025 Appropriation Bill was carried out on Monday by the state governor at the Exco Lounge of the Governor’s Office, in the presence of the State Executive Council members and representatives of the legislative arm.
Signing the budget christened the “Budget of Growth and Sustainable Development,” Governor Adeleke commended the Osun State House of Assembly and members of his cabinet for doing a good job.
He said: “We are here to further demonstrate our readiness to forge ahead in the New Year with the growth and development of our dear State. For record purposes, the budget I am signing today is titled “Budget of Sustainable Growth and Transformation.” The total sum for the 2025 budget is N427,746,925,170.
“Consequently, I direct ministries, agencies, and departments to vigorously pursue the implementation for the benefit of the citizens of the state. Our budget performance must continue to be commendable on a quarterly basis.”
He also directed the Ministry of Economic Planning, Budget, and Development to monitor the implementation process to ensure delivery according to targets and expectations.
The governor also assured residents of the state that the budget will be implemented to the letter.
DAILY POST had reported that the state legislature had passed the bill presented before the House after adding N37 billion to the N390 billion proposal initially presented by Governor Adeleke.

Malaysia has strongly opposed any proposal that could lead to the forceful displacement or movement of Palestinians, Malaysia’s Foreign Ministry said on Thursday.
Such actions constitute ethnic cleansing and are clear violations of international law and multiple UN resolutions.
The ministry revealed this in a statement, urging the international community to seek a credible and permanent solution that is acceptable.
“Any attempt, whether direct or indirect, to unilaterally and forcefully impose solutions that disregard the Palestinian people’s right to self-determination and infringe on their freedom is unacceptable.
“This is unjustifiable and will only further deepen one of the longest conflicts in the region,’’ the statement said.
